Since moving to "Costa Rica" from Florida, we are living "Green" with no "Air Conditioning", and our Home is a Great Cabina of all wood.
We all know that living green is good for the Planet, but it is good for the Wallet also. Our Costa Rica House, is one quarter of the size of our "Historic House" in Florida.

Here in Costa Rica our "wraparound Porch" serves as our Outside Living Room". From our Porch which is perfect for viewing "Wildlife" such as Birds, Toucans, Hawks, Eagles and more. The Rainforest is only 300 yards away.

The Porch effectively shades 50% of the house.

One of the Great Aspects of living in "Central Costa Rica" with "Arenal Volcano" one of the Top "Tourist Destinations" for "Rainforest Adventures". Our Utility Bills total are equal to $100.00 a month including Sky Satelitte Tv with 200 channels, internet, and cell phone, but the Mineral Water at 2.00 per month and the Real Estate Taxes might break us at $400.00 per year.

So, Real Estate and Retirement is Great here in Costa Rica. I now spend my time Painting and Photographing "Wildlife and Rainforest Jungles." I donate 20% of all Sales of my "Rainforest Art" to Local Community Environmental Education Efforts, to "Protect the Rainforest" and Environment Habitats for Wildlife. Rainforest's of the World hold hidden Gems like these "Scarlet Macaws" the  "Birds of the Rainforest". "Jungle Canopy" is multi-layered with dappled light filtering through the gloom.
 Where light strikes the ground flowers spring up at striking speed. Scarlet Macaws, Garnet colored, still may be seen flying on the Pacific rim and slopes, wherever their primary food sources are abundant.

Macaws are the Most Beautiful Bird. Here in Costa Rica, I am a strong Environmentalist, for I am lucky enough to have Retired from Florida to a "Rainforest Home" at the base of "Arenal Volcano" in Costa Rica.

" Volcano Arenal in Costa Rica"

"Costa Rica" famous for Volcanoes and lush Rainforests that are Natural Wonders which are always Entertaining.  This afternoon, after a Light Rain Shower the Volcano was Breathtaking. The Volcano was covered at it's Peak with Layers of Clouds which reflected different colors....I call this " A Volcano Halo"

Living on the South Side of the Volcano with the Rainforest at the Base of the Volcano, allow for Rainforest Wildlife to be seen from Our Home daily.   Since relocating from Florida, I do not miss the "United States", for I have Endless Entertainment with the endless changes of Nature.   I support the "Protected Rainforest of the World", for I live next to one in "Costa Rica"... 10% of all proceeds from Sales of my Art be it Photographs or Paintings shall be donated to the "Rainforest Alliance". This morning I walked a few yards from my Home in "Costa Rica"." Environment and Protected Rainforests", so Wildlife is present on a Daily Basis.  Costa Rica the" Land of Nature" is famous for Bird Species, a few feet into the Rainforest" Jungle", I could saw this "Colorful Tropical Bird".  Much to my advantage the Sunlight was perfect for a photo and the MottMott was not at all startled by my presence.
Wildlife and numerous Birding Species are slowly disappearing in the World Today, and to celebrate "Earth Day", I was Lucky enough to stumble upon a Great Example that a "Protected Rainforest" will allow "Beautiful Birds" to inhabit the "Earth" for Generations to come.

Wildlife,Birds and Endangered Species are my Passion. Let us all Protect them. 10% of all Sales of my Artwork will be donated to the "National Wildlife Federation".

"Costa Rica the Paradise" of Central America. Since moving to Costa Rica last year from the "United States", it has made me more aware of "Mother Earth" and how it can be Protected. I live 300 yards from one of the many Rainforest's in "Costa Rica". This Rainforest surrounding Volcano Arenal, a Famous "Vacation Destination" for Tourists, is Protected by the Government. With Blue Skies full of "Toucans, Hawks", and Hundreds of Birds Species, it is Nice to know they can Soar in the Skies and not be faced with extinction.
Today, instead of Television, I sat on my Porch and enjoyed the Monkeys, Birds and Sunshine. To think in Florida, it was rare to see a Hummingbird. No I do not live in a Remote Area, I am 10 minutes to La Fortuna, a Quaint Town usually full of "Tourists who are here for an Adventure". My Home is within minutes of  Waterfalls, Zip Lines through the Rainforest and Jungle, Horseback Riding, or a Nature Hike up Cerra Chato an extinct Volcanic Mountain Range with a Crater lake at the top.
Easter in Costa Rica is a week long Religous Holiday with Street Parades of Young Children carrying Flowers to the Church, Festivals and Beautiful Community Celebrations.
