From United States to Paradise

Having just arrived back from the "United States" on Wednesday, it has been an adjustment to relax and enjoy the "Nature" of the "Rain Forest Jungle" just outside my door. "Florida" has certainly faced it's challenges within the last 2 years since I last returned. I am glad to be back sitting on my Porch with "Toucans and other Wildlife".

My Husband surprised me with yet another of his "Jungle Landscape Paintings" this one of a "King Fisher". I expect alot of "Tourists" to come and enjoy the "Volcano Arenal" and protected Environment that surrounds this Majestic Natural Wonder.

My Mother is facing "New York Snow", "Florida has Tropical Storms", I will take my "Rain Forest Cabin" minutes from the number one "Tourist Destination" over the taxes and unpredictable weather in the "United States" any day.

So, give up the Turkey for "Thanksgiving" or treat yourself to a "Christmas" Vacation here in "Costa Rica".

"Rain Forest Jungles" all the shades of Green, many "Bird Species" find this Habitat desirable to survive especially "Endangered Species". I live at the base of "Arenal Volcano" in "La Fortuna", Costa Rica. 

This "Tropical Environment" offers the "Animals and Birds of the Forest" freedom to have an "ecological environment".

Tropical Colorful Wildlife Painting

I had just visited an "Eco-Lodge" minutes from my home in "La Fortuna" Costa Rica, and was astounded to find the "Bird Species" at "Arenal Oasis Eco-Lodge "arenaloasis.com  I live just at the Base of "Arenal Volcano" the "Rain Forest Jungle" is just 300 yards from my home, so I sometimes go on a "Nature Hike". When I am not "Painting Landscapes" of the "Green" that surrounds me here, I am inspired to Paint Landscapes featuring "Tropical Birds". I have just completed a Landscape set in the Jungle where the "Violaceous Trogon" lives.

Volcano Arenal is my Neighbor

"Arenal Volcano" in "Costa Rica" is my Neighbor, actually it is the view from my front porch.This land of "Green" is truly amazing, teaming with "Wildlife" Birds, Butterflies, Monkeys just to name a few "Animals". 

I retired from the "United States" and found a great Home, "Real Estate" prices are great here, and a years taxes might be equal to one month's electric bill in the States.

"Butterflies are Free"

Butterflies one the most Beautiful of Nature's Creations. Living here in "Costa Rica", I am surrounded by "Wildlife". I remember when I was a "Tourist" years ago, and seeing the "Butterfly Gardens" now living next to the "Rainforest" and "Arenal Volcano" I am surrounded by all "Colors, and sizes of the Butterfly Species".

Water flows off of the Volcano forming Springs, Rivers and "Spectacular Waterfalls", some of which flow into "Thermal Hot Springs" at nearby Resorts. This part of Costa Rica is the top "Tourist" destination for adventure. The Green Beauty that surrounds you is everywhere. I live yard from the "Jungle Rainforest" where the River Flows  through the "Jungle". There are ancient "Lava" rocks lining the banks,Huge Boulders from the "Volcanic Eruption of 1968". Nature surrounds you in this "Green Landscape".

Green is everywhere from the Trees, Ferns and animals. Green Fern Trees as tall as 50 feet high, drape over the "jungle river". On the "Forest Floor" are plants of every color, red, green yellow all this with "Birds of every Color" flying throughout the massive Green Rain Forest canopy.

The Rain Forest Jungle has Green Ferns and Trees of Ferns that are 15feet tall  . Deep in the Jungle below "Arenal Volcano" all kinds of Wildlife lives, Hawks, Toucans, with the River running off the Volcano it is a main source for other wildlife such as Tapirs, Ocelots and more.

"Tranquility in "Costa Rica", yet turmoil in the "United States". I sit here in my Home next to the "Rainforest" . I now feel at peace here in "Costa Rica". With the "Real Estate" market in the "United States" in a downturn, I am glad I moved here 2 years ago. Retirement has brought me "Peace of Mind", Low Taxes yes our taxes on this House with Volcano View are $400 a year, Tourists spend that a Night at the 5 Star Resorts a Mile away.

So, Now I spend my Time Painting "Rain Forest" Landscapes for the Rainforest is just steps from my door.
