Nature Vacation Costa Rican Style

I live next to "Arenal Volcano" the number on "Tourist" destination in Costa Rica. Just minutes from the Waterfalls, Volcano, Lake for Fishing, and surrounded by "Rain Forest Jungles". I literally can walk to the "Protected Rainforest just 300 Yards from my Home.  

Be that as it may, I see the turmoil in the "United States" and thought I might bring a little color to enlighten your day.

If you are ever on "Vacation" or considering the ultimate in "Wildlife" Vacation, this part of Costa Rica has it all.  The Television show "Love in the Wild" on NBC was filmed right here around "Volcano Arenal".

Many Friends have called us from the "United States" asking if we have seen the TV Series "Love in the Wild". We Live in "LaFortuna, Costa Rica" where the Episodes were filmed. I wondered why there were Helicopters with cameras flying over my cabin at the Base of "Arenal Volcano" .

Since Relocating from "Florida" to "LaFortuna, Costa Rica" we have found paradise. With the "Rainforest at our front door, peace, security and exceptional neighbors, we feel as secure here as we did in our Historic Neighborhood in "Cocoa, Florida".

I hear the "Costa Rica" is the Talk of the "United States" for it is truly Paradise. "Love in the Wild" shows you the exceptional Wildlife and Animals found here in Central Costa Rica, and the fabulous Resorts amoungst Eco-Friendly Cabins.

Since Retirement as a Doctor of 30 years in "Cocoa, Florida", I wanted a tranquil life, and I found it in my Rainforest Home, only yards from the Rainforest and at the base of "Arenal Volcano".

Here in Costa Rica, one of the most Colorful Birds is the "Scarlet Macaw"

 I had the Opportunity to visit a "Animal Rescue Center" minutes from my Home in LaFortuna, Costa Rica, many of you who vacation here might pass this center on the way to "Arenal Volcano".

These Birds and other animals in this all "Volunteer Rescue Center and Spanish Institute"http://www.institutoasis.com/ come to the Center due to smuggling, or through confiscation through Local Authorities. Here in Costa Rica it is illegal to keep a Wild Animal as a Pet especially these Beautiful Birds.

This Wild Animal Rescue Center has many animals on 8 acres of Beautiful Grounds with running Rivers and Ponds with fish all surrounded by Century Old Trees, a true Oasis. Flock of Toucans Landscape Painting for Sale.  I also captured on Video a "Flock of Toucans" a mixed flock just 20 feet from my home on the Edge of the "Rainforest Jungle". It is very unusual to see so many Toucans at once. Today it was overcast as when the Afternoon came, we heard the cackles of Toucans which is not unusual for we live yards from the Rainforest at the Base of "Arenal Volcano". For the First Time today, I took a Video, I hope it comes through ok. I captured a Keel Billed Toucan those are the Toucans with the Green Bottom Bill they are sleeker and have a different call. The Chestnut Mandile Toucans are Larger and have the Brownish Colored Beaks.

We Had the Tree of Toucans full of a Mixed Flock.  I love the Nature and Wildlife I live near and Paint the Birds of the "Rainforest Jungle" and "Volcano Landscapes". "Jungle Landscapes" are Paintings of the "Rainforests of Costa Rica". The Endangered Species that live within this Protected Habitat include the "Scarlet Macaw". Costa Rica home to Endless "Birding Species" that draw Birdwatchers from all over the World. In the United States we are used to Birds on a Seasonal Basis, here in "Costa Rica" there are Colorful Birds on a Daily Basis.
