Retirement in Costa Rica has been wonderful, since relocating from the United States over a year ago. My Husband Bill a retired Doctor is now spending his time painting wildlife, and the culture of Costa Rica. We live in a beautiful town of LaFortuna, Costa Rica one of the top tourists destinations, featuring Hot Springs, Arenal Volcano, Zip Lines through the Rainforest, White Water Rafting and More.
After 30 Years in Florida, and with heat and humidity we found the perfect climate in this part of Costa Rica, mid 80´s during the day and mid 70´s at night. Just over an hour to the Pacific Coasts and famous beaches, for us this is the perfect Retirement location and home. We purchased for 105k a fully furnished 6 month old pine cabin on stilts, with vaulted ceilings, jacuzzi and huge wraparound porch that allows us views of the Arenal Volcano and the Rainforest.
