Costa Rica  the Country we moved to over 2 years ago from the "United States". I just arrived back from "Florida" just 4 days ago, and this morning the Mist was covering "Arenal Volcano" and the Pastures that surround my "Costa Rica Cabin". 

Since returning from the "United States", I am glad to have sought my "Retirement" here in a perfect Home a "Real Estate" Bargain we found. Paradise is not a word is is a feeling, knowing you can relaxing on the Front Porch surrounded by "Wildlife of the Rain Forest Jungle" here at the base of "Arenal Volcano".

"Heat Dome in the United States"

Sitting here in "Costa Rica", I cannot believer I just heard on Fox News a "Heat Dome" is covering parts of the "United States". Being raised in Loudonville, New York where today the temperature is 91 degrees and Heat Index of 105.

I am grateful the we relocated from "Florida" to Central Costa rica. Our Climate here next to the "Arenal Volcano" ranges from mid 80's to mid 70's at night.

Our Climate is just perfect set amid 2 Mountain Ranges formed by extinct Volcanoes, there is always a breeze. This part of Costa Rica is not as Hot as the Coasts of Costa Rica. LaFortuna, a sleepy little Town and the top "tourist" stop for those on vacation. Adventure awaits you here in LaFortuna, White Water Rafting, Zip Lines through the Rainforests, Horseback Rides to the Waterfall one of many Waterfalls.

If Considering a "Vacation to cool off" I can advise you on the Adventures you can take, and I am always checking Air fares from the United States. Since Retirement our 2 plus years here in "Costa Rica" has been the best move we ever made. "Cool Off in the Rainforests and Lakes of Costa Rica"

Here i sit in my Home, in "LaFortuna, Costa Rica", Home to"Arenal Volcano"
"Volcano Arenal" is one of the Top Tourist destinations for those on "Vacation in Costa Rica".

My Husband and I traveled to Costa Rica for 7 years on vacation, seeking a potential "Retirment Home". After 30 years in Cocoa, Florida with the Oppressive Heat, endless Property Tax increases, we decided to seek an alternative to "Retirement in the United States".

Sure there is give and take, yet I would rather sit in my Cozy Pine Chalet just 300 yards to the Rainforest, and enjoy the weather of mic 80's during the day and a Pleasant 75 or so at night. Yes sometimes we even put on sweat pants. Here is our Home just half a mile from the Famous LaFortuna Waterfall and 8 minutes from all the Resorts such as Baldi Hot Springs with endless pool of water from the Arenal Volcano and for relaxation it has a swim up Bar.

Our Home purchased for 105K...taxes $400.00 a year, 2.00 monthly for water...Sat TV 45.00 a month 200 channels...

The "Rainforest is just yards from our Door, and attracts Birds of all kinds, Toucans, Macaws, Parrots are always Flying over and Landing in our Yard or the Rainforest Canopy that Borders the River at the Base of the Volcano. Here as I sit here in "Costa Rica" in the Central Valley and it is the the middle of the Afternoon, the Temperature is 78 degrees. I have the Fox Channel via my Sky TV and cannot beleive the "Heat Wave" in the " United States".

Most People in the "United States beleive all of "Costa Rica" is Hot and Humid, not where I chose to relocate to.

I just saw the United States is in a "Heat Wave". I am thankful after 30 years in the United States, that after my Retirement I found LaFortuna Costa Rica "Home to Areanal Volcano". Being in the Central Valley I am surrounded by Mountain Ranges formed by extinct Volcanic Activity, The Landscapes that surround me along with my Volcano View and temperatures daily in the mid 80's and at night mid 70's.
