Costa Rica Morning

This Costa Rica morning, finds the Arenal Volcano clear and with a small steam vent visible from LaFortuna, Costa Rica. The birds are all singing it is 9AM and I have already seen flocks of Toucans and Parrots.
The wildlife here is amazing and plentiful, so for a great Vacation make sure to visit Arenal Volcano in Central Costa Rica.

Birds in LaFortuna, Costa Rica

Costa Rica the perfect place to visit or live. I relocated from Florida to Costa Rica over a year ago. Today I live in a 1year old Cabin 300 feet from the Rainforest in Costa Rica, and love the Birding I have recently discovered. Always the Nature Lover, I was introduced to Birding at the Wildlife Festival in Titusville, Florida 2 years ago.
I see groups of "Birders" and "Birdwatchers" arrive in Town on a Daily basis to experience the numerous species of Birds that flock to this area of Costa Rica. With Arenal Volcano in the background, and the Rainforest before her, I have the perfect Landscape that attracts Birds large and small. Toucans, Hawks, Eagles all are seen on a Daily basis.
Luckily my new home has a wraparound porch and offers me an unobstructed View of the Volcano and Rainforest, thus all the Birds flock from the Low Canopies of the River and Rainforest to the surrounding pastures and fields.

Birding In Costa Rica

Birding in Costa Rica is a different experience of Nature everyday. Living just feet from the Rainforest in La Fortuna, Costa Rica allow me great access to all species of Birds. Yesterday, I saw a "Cinnamon Becard" a beautiful brightly colored bird, very uncommon to this area of Costa Rica..

Birding is new to me and I see all kinds of "Birding Tourists" who arrive to this area of Costa Rica all day long. Being an artist and supporter of Wildlife I am very Happy to see the numerous Species of Birds I see on a Daily basis. I see Toucans, Eagles, Hawks and various seed eaters daily.  I find the overcast days are the best for the Larger Birds.

Birding In Costa Rica

I live 300 feet from the Rainforest in Costa Rica, which allows me daily to see all species of Birds.  I have never considered myself a Birder yet, I find myself facinated by the Birds and their differences in calls, and especially in their Colors.
We see on a daily Basis, Toucans, Hawks, Eagles, I even captured a photo with an Ornate Hawk Eagle.  Rare and endangered species surround my home which is 300 feet from the Protected Rainforest. With Views of Arenal Volcano, I also notice that the Birds tend to know when the Volcano will erupt. The Colors of these beautiful Birds, I have tried to capture with my paintbrush and camera lens. All original paintings can also be purchased with custom hardwood frames made of Costa Rican Hardwoods, which are Beautiful.

Greetings from LaFortuna, Costa Rica. LaFortuna is one of the top Tourist Destinations in Costa Rica. This town if famous for the Arenal Volcano, Hot Springs, Horseback Riding, Waterfalls, Zip Lining through the Rainforests.

I relocated to Costa Rica, after selling my House in Cocoa, Florida one year ago. The Toucan Tree

Today Toucans filled up a Tree about 100 feet from my Costa Rica Cabin. Living on the edge of the Rainforest allows for daily sightings of Toucans, Hawks, eagles, Kisskadees, Hoffmans Woodpeckers, and numerous seedeaters.
Birding here in Central Costa Rica is exceptional, for I even spotted an Ornate Hawk Eagle, which is a very rare and endangered Species.  LaFortuna, Costa Rica is one of the top ten Tourist destinations in Costa Rica. With numerous Hot Springs, which are supplied with naturally heated water coming off of Arenal Volcano. Or spend your time, Horseback Riding to Waterfalls, or Zip Lining through the Rainforests.
I have painted and photographed all the Wildlife around my Home. All my Original Paintings are available with Custom Hardwood Frames made of Costa Rican Hardwoods which are beautiful.

Ornate Hawk Eagle by Arenal Volcano

  I spotted an Ornate Hawk Eagle, perched high in a Tree that Borders the Rainforest below Arenal Volcano.  Living in Costa Rica, and having an unobstructed View of the Arenal Volcano, and the Rainforest that surrounds her, affords many opportunities to see and photograph many rare and endangered species. 
Wildlife surrounds our house here in LaFortuna, with Toucans, Eagles and Hawks and numerous species of seed eating birds.
