Volcano Arenal in Costa Rica

          Volcano Arenal located in LaFortuna,Costa Rica has been quiet lately. In the Months of July through December, the Volcano was  very active. Here are some phots of the Volcanic Eruption, showing ash clouds as the Lava flowed at night it was diffulculy to capture on camera.
Volcano Arenal is the number one tourist destination in Costa Rica. You may hike up the extinct Volcano of Cerro Chato, the hike takes about 2 hours along the way you will see Wildlife found within the Rainforest. There is a beutiful Lake where hikers stop and have lunch overserving the Toucans,Parrots and the beauty of the Emerald Green Rainforest.
Since moving to Costa Rica 1 year ago, we have throughly enjoyed our home at the edge of the Rainforest, and our daily sightings of all kinds of Wildlife.
My husband a self taught artist, decided the Wildlife were so beautiful with the many colors of birds such as Toucans, Parrots and seed eaters, that he must paint them. His paintings can be found at :

Sunny Weather in Costa Rica

Today in Costa Rica, it was a Sunny day. I spent the Afternoon in my hot tub looking at Areanal Volcano. As I was enjoying the Sunny Weather, I thought of the Storms in the United States, and how glad I was to have relocated last year from Florida.
I live in LaFortuna Costa Rica, famous for Hot Springs,Arenal Volcano, and the Rainforests. All forms of Wildlife can be found here from Toucans to Amazing Butterflies. Sunny in Costa Rica

Here in LaFortuna, Costa Rica it was a beautiful day with temperatures in the mid 70's. I hear from friends in Florida, that the weather is going to be stormy. My mother who lives in New York, has experienced the coldest Winter ever.

For Sunshine and beautiful weather, Costa Rica is a wonderful destination. LaFortuna, Costa Rica is the place we chose to relocate to after 30 years of living in Florida.


The Artists Assistant

 My Husband spends his days, painting on our porch with views of the volcano. The artist in him is becoming a daily activity but he has a artist's assistant, our pet boxer dog .

Arenal Volcano of Costa Rica

 I see Wildlife in Costa Rica on a daily basis. January has brought out all kinds of Birds, including Toucans, Hawk Eagles, Hoffmans WoodPeckers and more. Living next to Arenal Volcano and just feet from the National Rainforest, allows me to have the opportunity to see Endangered Species in their Natural Habitat.

 While the Weather in the United States is in the Winter Season, LaFortuna,Costa Rica has an average temperature of 78 degrees During the Day and mid 70's at night. Today will be Toucans, and Hummingbirds, it looks a little overcast, that is when the Birds tend to flock into nearby Pastures
